You are eligible for Medicare when you turn 65 years of age or if you are under 65 and you have a qualifying disability. Two years after you are diagnosed with a qualifying disability you may qualify for Medicare. Another requirement to qualify for Medicare is if at any age you have Renal Disease. If you suffer from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis at any age, you also qualify for Medicare.
